This magnificent Polar White over Vintage Burgundy XY Fairmont V8 is absolutely gorgeous! Having always clearly been a very good car, you would be very hard pressed to find a nicer example than this available today, the body on this Fairmont would rate as one of the cleanest straightest examples we have ever had the pleasure of offering for sale, and there have been quite a few good ones over the last 20+ years The bodywork is super straight with far better than original panel fitment, and no evidence of major previous repairs. The story goes that this particular car spent a considerable number of years sitting in a panel shop waiting its turn to be brought up to the standard you see her in today, which tells us a couple of things, that it was clearly a good car that deserved to be done, and that it hasnt spent as much time out on the road or in the weather getting punished daily, as a lot of these did in the eighties and nineties. The beautiful body has been treated to a particularly nice repaint throughout in the original colours and presents very well, with the gorgeous and very classy Vintage Burgundy Metallic absolutely popping in the sun. The interior further confirms the story of a genuinely well-loved classic with most of it being original with the exception of some age related refurbishment thats been carried out in later years, but not enough as to destroy the authentic and very genuine survivor appearance of the interior itself. The immaculate engine bay is home to a nicely detailed and quite staunch sounding 351 Clevland V8 with some nice details and components fitted when it was rebuilt. The big healthy 351 runs into a T- Bar Automatic transmission, making this XY a real pleasure to drive, with a generally nice attitude and style, and a very decent receipts file also accompanies the sale. Very decent chrome and trim adorn the exterior and a nice new set of bumpers have recently been fitted to complement the exterior appearance further, along with a proper old set of now rare chrome 8 inch ROH 12 slots and Eagars like they all had back in the day!
