This is a pretty cool car, with great street appeal! A nicely done tribute to one of the most iconic and famous 80s Australian Muscle Cars of all time, The Mighty Brock Group A SS Blue Meanie! The Blue Meanie Group A SS is one of the most significant and desirable Holden models ever produced with an enviable track record with genuine examples fetching eye watering money in their homeland, One million dollars in the case of Peter Brocks own personal example! and with them being almost un obtainable here in NZ, a replica is the next best thing without mortgaging your soul! This neat looking replica has been built up locally by its mechanical engineer owner as a personal car, and as such has served as a good fun car for quite a few years, basically being driven and improved as time went on. Starting with a clean NZ new VK Royale as the base for the build, the body was treated to a complete period style HDT ground effects kit, and refinished in the absolutely iconic Formula Blue Mobil Corporate Colour that helped make these cars so desirably famous today. The staunch sounding engine residing in the engine bay is a rebuilt Iron Lion 304 V8 with Custom grind cam that sounds absolutely spot on, putting an instant smile on your face and sounding like it really means business! While being built up to be a reliable driver with decent stroppy performance, it was fitted out with new performance lifters and valve springs, high volume oil pump, and an electronic ignition system, while a decent set of headers plays an absolutely magic tune out of the three inch exhaust. The four speed gearbox is fitted up with a new heavy duty clutch and taking care of getting the power down is a rebuilt Salisbury disc brake diff, 3.55 Ratio Billet 4 spider LSD unit, with adjustable Panhard rod, all hunkered down nice and tight on lowered suspension with Cobra springs and shortened shocks. The interior is the real point of difference in this particular build, as a set of very desirable and almost impossible to find proper Group A Sheel seats take pride of place in the front of the cabin, with the rear seat trimmed to match, which makes this car really look the part and makes you wonder if you are actually looking at something quite special... Finished in the stunning Formula Blue with the crisp White powder coated HDT Aero styled wheels just like Mr Brocks personal car! and complete with the original period black NZ licence plates adding a bit of authenticity, this really is a very cool tribute that will make you take a second look, and represents a lot of look for a modest amount of money compared to the real thingA neat fun car to drive with good road manners, and an example that is overall well sorted having had a fair amount of recent works completed.
